Community 12 Wrap Up - Wellington
DEAFinitely Me workshops - 6 programmes:
We have six exciting workshops coming up!
Sunday 5th February will be about Identity, you will be aware of your own identity as well the others as well as learning about Deaf identity. And on 19th February will be about Community,you will learn about the Deaf Community and other community groups.There will be questions, discussions, group debates and most of all – making you all think.
Start at 12.30pm at Newlands Community Centre, Batchelor Street, Newlands. Please bring a gold coin to cover afternoon tea. Children are welcome, there is another room for them to play (bring toys, paper,felts, etc). Carparking is free in the area.

NZSL Week 2012 Presentation
We are having a presentation on the 17th February, at Wellington Deaf Club at 7pm. If you are wanting to be involved, such as teaching a 45 minute Taster Class; wanting to volunteer during the week; organizing an event, then come to this event where you can understand what will be planned and how you can be involved!
If you are keen but unable to come, give Shannon your details and she will be in touch. Also, just a friendly reminder that if you are wishing to come to this presentation, the car parking would need to be paid, it is free after 8pm. But, don’t wait until then or you will miss out lots!
NZSL in Action Awards
Don’t miss out! We have several awards this year, you can nominate the best interpreter of the year, teacher, organization, etc. Come in and pick up an nomination form to apply, don’t worry, if you are not confident to write, you can record yourself in NZSL.
