As one of New Zealand's official languages, a NZSL translation should be made for any information that is for public viewing. This includes such things as public notices at a local council or government level, transport, health warnings etc.

Under the NZSL Act 2006, all government departments have the responsibility to ensure that Deaf people have open, unhindered access to community services/information in NZSL.  Deaf Aotearoa can assist any government department or organisation to fulfil this obligation and work with you to ensure that all Deaf people have the information they require.

Deaf Aotearoa has a video production department and is able to assist organisations, government agencies and businesses with producing a NZSL video for any information they have in English or another language.

Email communications@deaf.org.nz to discuss your requirements.
